It's Baby Time!

On Saturday, my sweet, sweet friends threw me a baby shower at Marmalade Cafe. It was so much fun to be there with all my lovely ladies chewing the fat and chewing the chow. (ha ha, that sounds wierd.) I had a super yummy egg fritatta with tons of crunchy veggies and potatoes. Delish! Sophie came along and even bought a gift for the baby with her very own money. She really wanted to be a part of things. Doug's mama came in town for a quick visit this weekend so she got to come along, too!

Anyway, everyone was so generous and wonderful, i just felt very loved. And now I am armed with everything i need for this baby to come. So exciting! Thanks, everyone!!

p.s. Jen gave the kids these adorable shirts and both of them wore them all day Saturday and I think Sophie wore hers to school this morning. They love them!

Moped Rally

Even though I have ventured out on the Puch's for lunch with Doug,I thought it best to sit out last Saturday's 100 mile moped rally.

Too bad. It looks like I would have fit in quite nicely.

Owen Art

Owen's version of our family. Note my pregnant belly and his friend Luke that has shown up in most of his family drawings lately. I think he really wants a brother.

treasures!

My grandma turns 80 this April and for the big birthday we are all meeting in Utah, having lunch and giving her a really cool photo book that i'm putting together. (She just very recently got an answering machine and has no access to the internet so I think it's safe to assume that posting this won't be a huge spoiler.)

Anyway, my uncle sent over a package with pics from the early 50's. I have never seen them or any others like it so when i opened them up i felt like I had disovered a treasure box of history. My mom and her brother are 11 months apart...oh, they are so cute!

WARNING: Bare Flesh Ahead!

yeah, so there's the 9 month belly. I told Doug i'd never post that so he'd have to figure out how to do it himself. crap. I didn't think he'd bother trying to get it up there. I also promised him i wouldn't delete it. Sorry, mom. (She's going to cringe when she sees that big ole fleshy belly.)

PREGO!

Never fear...Owen and Grandma are Here!

A few weeks ago, Doug shot the pilot to a kids show called "Aquabats." It's a pretty funny show that involves a band, a giant radioactive tortilla destroying a village in Mexico (or something to that effect) and 5 super-heroes called the Aquabats. .

Here are two of the five...

Can't you just see these two fighting for the freedom of ninos everywhere?
