5. My once ugly brown-red-mauve cabinets are now a gleaming white and i have new countertops with cabinets under them. It's almost like it's a legit kitchen...tiny, but legit.

2. Doug is a master craftsman. After watching all the renovations I'm pretty convinced he could build a house. Especially after a few red bulls. (Last night he was in the garage whacking down a little room in the corner with a sledge hammer and some crazy tool that looks like a giantic nail. (nail and hammer, not fingernail.) I think he felt pretty manly.
