The love-hate thing.

This perfectly describes how I feel about blogging, 100%. I LOVE checking in on the UT and AZ cousins to hear their funny quotes and to see them grow up even though we are so far away. Or checking out what our friends are doing.  I LOVE feeling inspired by the the energy and creativity of fellow bloggers; especially when i can steal their good ideas and they don't even know it because in all likelihood we don't even live in the same city and we've probably never met before. I also love to look back and see what my family has done over the past 2 years. I'm ready to order my Blurb books for 2006 and 2007 (something I discovered though a blog) and it makes me want to continue documenting our little family.

But.. I'm also at a serious plateau. (Clearly, since i've not posted for the past month.) Sometimes all of those amazing people get in my head and make me feel inadequate. Am I seriously the only person in the blogosphere without an etsy shop full of sweet handmade goods? And then sometimes I get crazy irate over some loud, stupid opinions people throw around out there. I've actually had to ban myself from certain blogs. (ha ha.) I don't know...I guess maybe that means i was spending too much time blog surfing, hence the hiatus. And i hate ignoring my family while I'm trying to write.  Owen just got in trouble because he kept asking me if we could get a dog over and over again while I tried to type that last sentence. Maybe it'll all get easier when the kids go back to school on Monday.  Aargh, love/hate.

Anyway, not sure why i'm throwing all of this up here. Nice back to posting post.

But just for some good vibes, I'll throw in some pics of the kidlets.

oh, by the way...
Penny LOVES Ross. Let's face it, most people do, but it's pretty significant because Penny doesn't like anybody but her mama. Her daddy even had to work for it and all that hard work may have gone out the window when he flew to Philly this week. I guess we'll see when he gets back. So,  for whatever reason, Ross is IN with my baby girl. (who happens to be trying really hard to rock up to her knees right now. wahoo!)

I can't believe how cute Penny is right now! I would love to come out and see ya'll again but this year Daniel's conference is sending us to Vegas. Anybody up for a week of gambling? I hear Donnie and Marie will be starting a new show once we get there....haha...if that doesn't get you there...nothing will.

That's pretty much the reason I blog . . . is because of BLURB. I tried scrapbooking, but I couldn't keep up. Then I tried the digital scrapbook and I didn't like how I never wrote anything, so to me blogging is the best of both worlds and I can keep up with it. I love the idea that I can turn it into a book. I have yet to do it yet. I'm waiting to get more worked up on my blog before I turn it into a book.

Hear hear....cuz I always feel like the lamest person in the world when I read other people's blogs too. All I blog about are my kids, cuz let's face it...my kids are my life. And I don't have an etsy store either and I can hardly sew a button on a shirt. Okay, I can, but that's about it.

I still like reading your blog though, so don't quit.

I can pretty much guarantee you I will never have an etsy shop. :) Mostly b/c I am the un-craftiest person ever.

There is a good post on this love/hate thing on Mormon Mommy Wars. I read it today.
