Last to Jump On the Bandwagon

I've got to be. Across the Universe came out in 07 and i'm not sure what i was doing but I totally missed this movie during it's high time. It's even a musical which is right up my alley! I watched it on Starz last night and absolutely loved it. Might not be a movie recommendation for the Grandmas, but the fresh faces on the screen and all the reworked Beatles music was just incredible. I made the kids listen to this version of "I want to hold your hand" probably 5 times yesterday. Love it. Ok, so she's singing to another girl but I didn't tell them that.

I haven't seen it yet either. I don't know why but I didn't know if I would like it so much. We'll have to get it one night.

Emily, Dan and I saw it in the movie theatre (one of the rare dates we went on) and we both enjoyed it too! It was really a visually stunning film and looked amazing on the big screen. I too loved this song in the film. I could listen to it over and over. Makes me wish I could play the guitar and just chill in a little coffee house and sing.

see i really liked it, but totally had to fast forward some scenes that were too far out for me. the songs were great though and i cried at the end.

oh rats, going to have to swing the other way. a beatles fan for sure, but felt the film stunk.
was put off by the cheerleader singing "i wanna hold your hand" about another girl...
the concept behind the movie was great, a musical around beatles music, but felt the film lacked substance and direction...i am going to have to give this a two thumbs down. sorry.
