Sophie wrote this poem the other night while she was supposed to be cleaning her room. She'd do a few lines at a time and by the end I sounded like, "That's the greatest poem you've ever written...now, go CLEAN YOUR ROOM!"
Sophie had a frightful mission
Put her room in good condition
Shirts, socks, and underwear
Banana peels, a week old pear
Homework, pizza, melted chocolate
Stuffed inside her blue jean pocket
Now how did she attack this mess?
She buckled down and did her best
Sophie was frightful and Sophie was mean
But in the end, her room was clean
It shined, it sparkled like diamonds galore
Until she opened her closet door
Things came tumbling into the den
And poor, poor, Sophie had to start all over again

All I can say is WOW!
That was awesome! She should consider learning french and then come study poetry with Bob :)
Wow. I am SO impressed. Way to go Sophie.
That has to be homework and chores in one. I think she could definitely hand this in during the poetry unit in English class.
it would take me a year to write something like that.
that is awesome.
That was really good! I'm impressed!
I am so not shocked that it's shocking. The girl oozes talent.
Wow, What a talent I couldn't do that in a lifetime. Very impressive.
